Dear Genny,

When Christopher and I dropped my cousin David off at his house today we all agreed that staying with you had made what promised to be a rather arduous trip into a pleasant expedition. Unlike you I find highway motoring scary and Chris routed us along 407 and 403 so that we avoided the worst bits of 401. Then we arrived at your immaculate lodgings, followed your advice to find an appropriate restaurant for lunch, had an afternoon nap and the luxury of showers before our cousins' Hunt Club dinner. Breakfast was perfect for each of us and thanks to your directions we were home by noon.

David and I were especially glad we had celebrated with our cousins, who are even older than we are. I enjoyed meeting your cats--our two Siamese now await me in bed. I've already mentioned Surrey House to a friend who sometimes goes to London--he took journalism at UWO--and hope we'll stay with you again. Many thanks for your hospitality."
